Do you have any nicknames?

Nope!

In your words, what is your job at Beaverton Pet Clinic? Any special projects or responsibilities?

As a Client Service Representative, I have integral part in creating the experience clients and their pets have at Beaverton Pet Clinic. I welcome clients and their pets to our clinic, respond to client communication and answer phones, schedule appointments and help facilitate communication between clients and doctors. My goal is to ensure that clients and their pets have a positive and memorable experience visiting our clinic.

Why did you decide to work at Beaverton Pet Clinic?

I’ve worked primarily in a corporate setting, and after several years I was ready to make a career change to do something that I’m passionate about and is important to me. Animals have always had a special place in my heart and I knew I wanted to be a part of team who is dedicated to ensuring the best care for them. I’ve always had cats and dogs (and horses) growing up and as a pet parent I know that the interactions you have with staff are important to you and your pets overall experience. When I first interviewed at Beaverton Pet Clinic, it was clear that everyone was passionate about the care we provide clients and their pets, and I knew I had found a team that shared the same values as me.

Do you have any pets? If so, name/age/description. Any special skills or fun features?

Yes! I have two dogs and two horses. My dogs are Kali & Xena, also known as “the girls.” Both are black lab mixes and they are 9 months apart. Many people believe they are siblings and often times it’s only by the color of their collars that people can tell them apart. They both know many tricks such as high five, shake & roll over, but treats are 100% required! They keep me on my toes, but I love them for it!

My horses names are Lexie and Lucy. I’ve had each of them since they were 5 years old and they are both currently in their mid twenties. Lucy was my first pony and I learned so much about the partnership between horse and rider from her. When I got Lexie she didn’t have a lot of training so I had the opportunity to build a trusting bond with her as we worked and grew together. Both are currently loving retired life which is of course filled with treats and pastures of green grass!

Tell us a (or several!) little known fact(s) about you!

I’ve been a horse lover from a young age. I started riding horses when I was six years old and got my first horse soon after. I’ve shown competitively locally and regionally in the equestrian sport of Dressage.

Outside of work I enjoy visiting antique stores to find unique pieces to use to decorate my house and reading a good book. I also enjoy exploring the outdoors with my husband either kayaking the many lakes and rivers in Oregon or hiking in the forests with Xena and Kali.
