Do you have any nicknames?
I usually go by Kelsey or Kels 🙂
In your words, what is your job at Beaverton Pet Clinic? Any special projects or responsibilities?
I’m the smiling face (and treat dispenser) that greets you and your pets when you walk through our doors! Whether I’m answering phones, juggling appointment schedules, or making sure your visit goes off without a hitch, I’m here to help both humans and animals feel right at home. I work behind the scenes too—keeping paperwork in order and making sure our doctors and techs have everything they need to focus on caring for your pets. Basically, I keep the wheels turning behind the scenes and sneak in as many pet cuddles as I can.
Why did you decide to work at Beaverton Pet Clinic?
After working in animal shelters for 11 years, I was ready for a new challenge—specifically, one that allowed me to connect with owned pets and their people. I wanted to be part of a team that values those relationships and supports both clients and their animals through every step of care. What really drew me to Beaverton Pet Clinic was the team. Everyone here is incredibly communicative, supportive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. It’s clear that both the people and the pets who walk through our doors truly matter to this crew—and that’s exactly the kind of place I wanted to be part of.
Do you have any pets? If so, name/age/description. Any special skills or fun features?
I share my home with four beloved pets—two dogs and two cats—who I affectionately refer to as my “kiddos.” Misty Mae, my 9-year-old Thai Siamese/Ragdoll mix, is the queen of the household. She’s earned the nickname “princess” and can high five (with both paws), beg, come, and sit—though treats are always expected in return. Meredith or Mer, a 7-year-old white English Lab, brings boundless energy and affection, always ready with a wag and a kiss. Cooper, my 5-year-old rough-coated Jack Russell Terrier mix, marches to the beat of his own drum and is rarely seen without a toy in tow. He has a neurological condition and knows he can get away with almost anything. Rounding out the crew is Charli, a 3-year-old domestic shorthair with an ever-surprised expression, a mischievous streak, and an inseparable bond with Meredith. It’s a circus, but they’re mine.
Tell us a (or several!) little known fact(s) about you!
I’m always up for a good game of basketball and never say no to a long car ride with the windows down and music cranked up—bonus points if we’re headed to the beach or off on a hiking adventure! I’ve also got a soft spot for collecting pins and stickers from every place I visit—because what better way to remember a trip than with a little flair and fun?
