Dr. Sam Schroller

Born in California and raised in Oregon, Dr. Schroller recently returned to the Pacific Northwest following a brief stint in the South. While some vets are “dog people”, and others are “cat people”, Dr. Schroller is a “people person”. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine has always been the human-animal bond and how we can influence and strengthen it. Her passions in veterinary medicine include preventative care and behavior, though she is hoping to branch out to rehabilitation in the near future! Dr. Schroller has always wanted to be a veterinarian and is privileged enough to see that dream come true! Dr. Schroller’s “pack” includes 3 rescue dogs, 1 cat, and several axolotls. In her free time, Dr. Schroller enjoys games and the great outdoors! She plays Dungeons and Dragons and enjoys hiking, kayaking, and camping, which is perfect in the Pacific Northwest!

Do you have any nicknames?
Just Sam! I keep it simple!

In your words, what is your job at Beaverton Pet Clinic?
I help pets live their best and healthiest lives and help pet parents learn how to support them every step of the way! As a veterinarian, I take care of their whole health for their whole life. I see and do everything from preventative medicine to urgent care, and even a dash of emergency medicine as needed.

Why did you decide to work at Beaverton Pet Clinic?
I felt right at home! As a Fear Free certified doctor, I enjoyed how smooth and comfortable the practice is for pets and their parents. I saw how much the staff advocates for every pet’s physical and mental health and wanted to be a part of it!

Do you have any pets?
Yes! I have 3 mixed breed rescue dogs (Finn, Arthur, and Tillamook) and 1 rescue cat (Jasper). I also have several axolotls and have often kept betta fish too.

Tell us a little known fact about you!
I have always enjoyed random niche sports. I grew up with a love of road cycling, and have played college rugby and even been on a rowing team.
