Do you have any nicknames?
To family, I’m Manda Panda or Manda or Mandi.
In your words, what is your job at Beaverton Pet Clinic? Any special projects or responsibilities?
My job as a certified veterinary technician is to provide the best care to patients in a fear free environment for anything ranging from nail trims to monitoring anesthesia. I want them to feel safe and happy while they are with us.
Why did you decide to work at Beaverton Pet Clinic?
I wanted to be part of a positive team who supports each other and provides compassionate care to animals.
Do you have any pets? If so, name/age/description. Any special skills or fun features?
Yes-I have 4! Frankie and Fiona are tonkinese sisters I adopted in 2011. They just turned 14. Fiona (aka Princess Fiona or Pooper Pants) still acts like a kitten getting the zoomies daily while Frankie (aka Frank the Tank, Cranky Frankie or Kitty Bear) prefers to sleep or cuddle with her mama. Finley (aka Finmonster, Muffin, Muffinbutt or Most Handsome Boy) is a grey tabby I found at 6 weeks old wandering in the street with an Alpo Dog Food can stuck on his head. He will be 7 this year and is constantly getting into trouble. He is the reason I have child locks on my cabinets. Daphne (aka Daphne Doo, Little Doo, Baby Doo or Silk Chocolate Dog) is a pit/husky mix I adopted from Oregon Humane Society on April Fool’s Day 2021. She is my best friend! She loves to go hiking, paddle boarding, and running with me. Her favorite place is the beach.
Tell us a (or several!) little known fact(s) about you!
I am addicted to running. I love long distance. I’ve run 5 marathons- Los Angeles, Honolulu (twice), Huntington Beach and San Francisco. I also love hula dancing, reading and cooking.
