Meet Rebecca, one of our Hospital Attendants. She joined our team in the summer of 2019.
Do you have any nicknames?
My actual name is Rebecca, but most of my friends and family call me Becca.
In your words, what is your job at Beaverton Pet Clinic?
At Beaverton Pet Clinic, I am mostly responsible for maintaining cleanliness around the office, but i also help assist with anything the techs may need from me such as holding pets for vaccines or helping draw vaccines (I’m still learning how to do that). (:
Why did you decide to work at Beaverton Pet Clinic?
I decided to work at Beaverton Pet Clinic because I have a passion for helping and working with animals. I have worked in boarding facilities before, but wanted to be more in the field of helping animals heal and learning more of the science behind them. (: I love experiencing all the different cases of pets that i had never heard of before. I’m very eager to learn all about the veterinary field and how everything works.
Do you have any pets?
I just recently adopted a border collie mix named Kingsley. He’s named after Kingley Shacklebolt from Harry Potter (me and my boyfriend are huge fans, obviously). He is about a year old and extremely shy. We adopted him from a rescue in Tualatin where he had been living for a month. Prior to that, he was living in California in an animal hoarders house where he had little to no human contact. He is warming up to us slowly but surely. we hope that he will be completely comfortable with us soon, but its a slow learning process for both him and us. We love our sweet boy, even if he doesn’t love us quit yet. (:
Tell us a little known fact about you!
A little known fact about me would be that i am a HUGE nerd for Harry Potter as you could probably tell already! I don’t really have much going on, but a huge part of my personality is pets. Everyone already knows this, but everywhere i go, if i see any type of animal i immediately freak out and have to go ask the parent if I’m allowed to pet it. what can i say, animals are the best!
