Meet Jaime, our most experienced Technician Assistant.
Do you have any nicknames?
Not really. If I do people aren’t using it in front of me!
In your words, what is your job at Beaverton Pet Clinic?
My official title at the clinic is Technician Assistant. My un-official title is Mother Hen. I do my best to work hard, meet client’s needs, take care of pets, be supportive of co-workers and occasionally pick them up and drive them to work in the snow. I’m there if you need me! I do a wide range of tasks from the clinic including taking xrays, drawing blood, and dental cleanings to taking out the trash and help maintain the hospital. I take pride in my work ethic and strive to provide the best care possible for each client and their pet.
Why did you decide to work at Beaverton Pet Clinic?
Years and years ago I was actually offered a job at the clinic. I was coming in with my elderly cat multiple times a week, providing care for him at home and was offered a job that I accepted on a part time basis. That quickly became a full time adventure that I’m happy that I accepted.
Do you have any pets?
I have cats that currently range in age from 4 years old to 18 years. Most of them have a story of having been rescued from a shelter, the street, my rural property, or taken in from a family member that could no longer care for them. They have a wide range of personalities – some being very friendly, others shy, smart ones, and a very lovable clumsy one.
Tell us a little known fact about you!
I have a very small Christmas tree farm on my rural property. Some people would be surprised to know I have a pretty good sized tractor… and that I love to drive it! I also am on a competitive bowling league and go to tournaments throughout the year.
