Certified Veterinary Technician
Meet Heather, one of our Certified Veterinary Technicians.
Do you have any nicknames?
In your words, what is your job at Beaverton Pet Clinic?
I am a Certified Vet Tech. I perform anesthesia, monitoring, dental cleanings, nursing care, radiology, restraint and comfort, vaccines and preventive care, among many other tasks/responsibilities.
Why did you decide to work at Beaverton Pet Clinic?
Among the clinics I looked at, I felt my personality fit best among the staff here. We all mesh well and can appreciate each others’ quirks as well as professional strengths. We also encourage each other to get practice on things we want to improve, without being pushy or condescending.
Do you have any pets?
I have a black cat named Luna ( so original!). She’s about to be 12 in September, and she loves to greet me at the door for tummy rubs. But she only likes them to be given with socked feet. Bare feet and hands are unacceptable!
Tell us a little known fact about you!
I guess I consider myself an open book. If you ask about something, I’m usually open to answer or discuss it. I also have weird quirks, such as I like to organize things by even numbers (particularly 4’s), and I eat various foods in circles (such as sandwiches, burgers, donuts, etc).
