Dear Clients and Friends,
It is with profoundly mixed feelings that I announce my retirement from full time veterinary medicine effective June 25, 2019, but after a 30+ year career it is time for a change. My dear wife is very encouraging in this transition, probably because she has a “Honey Do” list as long as my arm! Who knows? Maybe I’ll be back to work as a refuge from household chores! On the other hand, I will have more time to pursue hobbies such as music, woodworking, traveling, camping and fishing and spending time with my beloved extended family as well as some volunteer work in the community. I expect to be as busy as ever, especially if my wife has her way, and she will!
Seriously, it has been one of the great joys and satisfactions of my life to have had your trust in caring for your fur babies, your kind friendship and your loyalty over the years. I know you have had many other options for veterinary care and so your constancy has been much appreciated. Although a transition is occurring at Beaverton Pet Clinic, I can say without any hesitation, that Dr. Yung and her associates will continue and expand the patterns of providing very high quality pet health care. She has my complete confidence.
Not everything will change, however. Dr. Wilson will stay around a while longer and you’ll still see some familiar faces behind the front desk and in the treatment and surgery rooms. Alicia, Jaime, Heather, Pam, Kaitlin and Kristy will stay on and the newer faces of Stephanie and Brian are a welcome addition. Also, to ease the transition, I will likely be filling in one day per week for the next couple of months at least, so you’re not entirely rid of me right away.
Again, thank you most humbly for the honor of getting to know you, to see your pets live such well-loved lives and to be a “fur baby uncle”, with a chance to love up all of my patients. It’s as if I have thousands of pets of my own! The best job in the world!
