Do you have any nicknames?
I go by either Bri or Briana! I always introduce myself as Briana, but I find most people end up calling me Bri. I respond to either 🙂
In your words, what is your job at BPC?
I work up at the front desk as one of the client service representatives! I’d say my job is mostly about customer interactions and trying to make things a pleasant, smooth experience for everyone! The vet can be a stressful place, so I do my best to keep a friendly face on my way both in and out of the clinic!
Why did you decide to work at Beaverton Pet Clinic?
I’ve wanted to get into the vet med field for a while, so I thought reception would be a great place to start learning! I recently moved up to Oregon from San Diego, CA, so that prompted a new job search in the area. I was lucky enough to find a position at Beaverton Pet Clinic as one of the CSRs, so I’ve been doing that since I got here!
Do you have any pets?
I have two pets as of right now, but I would definitely love to get another dog in the future! I have a crazy little German Shepard mix named Newt, who is about 10 months old now and around 40 lbs. We aren’t entirely sure what breed she is mixed with, but I suspect beagle, maybe some lab! She is definitely still in her puppy stage, so we’re still working on training her, but she absolutely LOVES playing fetch. She has become notorious for refusing to leave the park because she keeps wanting to play. My other pet is a tegu lizard! She is a pretty decent size and loves to roam around the house and explore. She is a lovely salmon pink color, which is how she got her name, Fish! Apparently, we have a thing for naming animals after other animals, but we love them!
Tell us a little known fact about you!
I swear I am busy all the time, but when I do have some free time, I try to get into the gym and do Muay Thai! I have been doing it as much as I can over the past 3 years, and I absolutely love it! I would love to compete someday, but I just haven’t had the time to dedicate to it. I also love to do art projects! I’ve mainly been doing fluid art and am just teaching myself and learning as I go, but it’s been a fun hobby I picked up during the pandemic.
